Distopian Dream Girl
If it came down to your life or mine I'd do a stupid thing and let you keep on living.

So we like to watch Dexter around here....and on some recent episodes we have come across the creepy, docile serial killer......he wills people to commit suicide etc....I know- not nice subject matter- but it has struck a cord with me. How many of the people in our lives, father figures, neighbors, mothers, teenage children have suddenly gone berserk out of their seemingly docile lives and done something extreme??? I have my stories...I am sure you have yours. Why do we think this happens?? Just a thought on the distopian front.
It's complicated----
As my first post upon re-entering the world of blogging I would like to share something that I hope you can relate to but which is at the same time extremely trite. So bear with me......
So I keep going back and forth with the decision of staying on Facebook or not. In fact I have deactivated and reactivated my account 3 times in the last week- (yes I know decisiveness is not my forte) and I have deleted 350 of my 450 friends. To be honest with you I really like Facebook. To also be very honest with you I waste a lot of time on there.
There is a sense of satisfaction that this beloved social networking site can bring if you either have something witty to say or feel like partaking in a good little old fashioned voyeurism. The problem though is that I find myself spending a little bit too much time either thinking of something witty to say or am too curious about what other people are doing. And for what and who??? Yes my friends but more than that an online persona, correct?
So this is why I am blogging....sort of ironic since this also is an avenue to create an online persona, but alas it is a step in some sort of direction.
That is where I am at. In this world of turmoil and chaos, famine and flame, torture and death- I am agonized over online social networking.
